Abstract
Congenital mesocolic(Paraduodenal) hernia is rare anomaly which resulting from anomalies of rotation and reduction of the mid gut loop occurring within the abdominal cavity.
Many such hernias are found incidentally at lapaotomy or autopsy, but intraabdominal hernia is typically presenting as an acute abdominal emergency leading to strangulation and perforation, if not relieved surgically.
An understanding of the formation of mesocolic hernias aids in their recognition and aids in a safe anatomical approach to the surgical treatment of left and right mesocolic hernias.
